Project Bubblegum II

I had the privilege to work as a lead environment artist on project Bubblegum at Emerald City Games. I worked closely with our art director Tony Tsang to achieve the stylized look of the environment. I also helped create a pipeline for environment artists to use the scene without conflicts. Since it is a platformer game modular and tile-able assets was a must. It was also fun to figure out a way to blend the mesh seamlessly with the sandy floor tiles using a soft gradient.
It was a pleasure to work on the demo for this project. My team comprised of amazing artists and super proud of what they helped achieve! Everything was a result of team effort.
One of the environment artists I worked with was Emil who helped create props for this game.

and Gesy who helped create the scifi generators at the back:

The game is now available on Kickstarter for those interested!

For these levels I was the lead environment artist leading 2 environment and 2 character artists helping out with props. I created the bridge, rails, greyblock for the generators at the back, polishing cliff placement as well as texturing them.

Creation and texturing of the Moroccan inspired arches in Zbrush. I kept it very simple and clean. The rock on top was sculpted by another artist which I then textured in Substance. I also created a pack of tileable sand floor assets and rails.

The platforming arch here was also created by me, the style was kept simple and clean for gameplay reasons.

Since I was responsible for the overall look of the game I worked closely with our director to achieve the style he envisioned. To help I created a stylized material with soft edging that artists could use.
